AFCAS goes live: fire certification in 3–5 days, fully online.

The Ghana National Fire Service is pleased to announce the public launch of the Automated FireCertificate Application System (AFCAS).

From today, applications for new and renewed fire certificates are processed entirely online through the Fire Certificate Portal, with standard processing times of 3–5 working days.

AFCAS replaces paper-based submissions with a transparent, trackable workflow. Applicants can upload documents, pay statutory fees, schedule inspections, and download their digital certificate all from a single account.

A new public verification tool also allows anyone to confirm the authenticity of a fire certificate using its ID or QR code. Licensed Service Providers operate from a dedicated portal where they manage their public listings, submit drawings and proposal reports, and tag fire safety equipment installed on customer sites.
