From today, applications for new and renewed fire certificates are processed entirely online through the Fire Certificate Portal, with standard processing times of 3–5 working days.
AFCAS replaces paper-based submissions with a transparent, trackable workflow. Applicants can upload documents, pay statutory fees, schedule inspections, and download their digital certificate all from a single account.
A new public verification tool also allows anyone to confirm the authenticity of a fire certificate using its ID or QR code. Licensed Service Providers operate from a dedicated portal where they manage their public listings, submit drawings and proposal reports, and tag fire safety equipment installed on customer sites. For help getting started, visit the Guides & Checklists page or contact GNFS on info@gnfs.gov.gh
